Why study engineering at Rutgers?

Rutgers engineering graduates are sought after by leading technology firms, consulting companies, and government agencies. Other graduates go on to earn medical degrees and MBAs. Once you graduate, you will be prepared for a career as an innovator adept at teamwork and ready to change the way we look at the world.

Rutgers University's reasonable cost and outstanding faculty, exceptional research and academic resources, and highly diverse programs and activities make it one of the best values in higher education today. Rutgers offers an affordable tuition, finacial aid packages, student employment, and merit based scholarships. In fact, more than 86% of Rutgers students receive financial aid*.

*To be considered for need based financial aid, submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by the priority filing date of March 15 for the fall semester. It's faster and easier to submit the FAFSA online at http://fafsa.ed.gov.

The academic environment here is very conducive to learning. Teachers aren't going to spell out everything for you-you have to do some work on your own to understand the different concepts and know how to apply them. It makes you push a little harder, but in the end, you learn concepts better because of the effort you put in.

Trevor Abenavoli. Class of 2007
