A Rutgers materials science and engineering professor is working on ways to make advanced flexible electronics that could be used, for example, to make a soldier's uniform with integrated solar cells that could power sensors to detect nearby explosives?

Thanks for visiting the Rutgers School of Engineering on the web. The 200+ faculty and staff members provide excellent educational opportunities for our students, perform research that impacts New Jersey, the nation and the world and serve as an economic engine for the region. You can read more about these activities by navigating through our website.
Undergraduates enter the first-year engineering program before advancing to one of the School’s seven departments, the applied sciences program, or the Bioenvironmental Engineering program offered in collaboration the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. The outstanding student body brings a diversity of background and experience providing an enthusiastic cohort for participation in a variety of extra-curricular activities that provide opportunities to serve our community and the world.
Our faculty and graduate student researchers make great strides on issues facing society every day. The depth and breadth of these achievements are truly exciting. They also remind us that the School of Engineering is part of one of the world’s great universities.
The School has a long and proud engineering heritage. Much of that pride is due to the accomplishments of its alumni. The joy of being a professor is watching our students grow to become leaders in industry, academia, and government service.
Together the faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the Rutgers School of Engineering are making contributions today that will benefit all of us for years to come.
